On September 29, 2025, Toyota Motor Corporation and Isuzu Motors Limited announced a cooperation agreement to jointly develop and commercialize a new generation of fuel cell buses. The model is scheduled to start mass production in the 2026 fiscal year at the Utsunomiya Plant of J-Bus Ltd., an equally owned joint venture between Isuzu and Hino Motors.
