On September 28, during the 7th World New Energy Vehicle Congress, Jin Yuzhi, who serves as the CEO of Huawei's Intelligent Automotive Solutions Business Unit (BU), emphasized that the automotive industry is experiencing a profound transformation through what he termed "three waves," propelling it towards an era of embodied intelligence.

The first wave, which took place from 2015 to 2022, marked the electrification phase. During this period, electricity emerged as a viable alternative to fuel, leading to a significant reduction in travel costs.

The second phase, spanning from 2022 to 2027, is characterized by the intelligent phase. Here, algorithms are progressively taking over the role of drivers, thereby substantially enhancing both safety and the overall user experience.

The third phase, set to commence in 2027, will herald the automation phase. In this stage, algorithms are expected to redefine the benchmarks for safety and experience, resulting in a marked improvement in both travel efficiency and social efficiency.
