BMW Group has made an announcement stating that it will be initiating a recall of no fewer than 331,000 vehicles across the globe. This recall is prompted by a corrosion risk found in engine starters, a problem that has the potential to result in a fire hazard. The vehicles affected by this recall encompass the majority of models manufactured between 2015 and 2021. Specifically, 195,000 vehicles are being recalled in the US market, while another 136,000 are subject to recall in the German market. As of now, BMW has not yet released the overall figure for the global recall or provided details regarding the specific costs associated with the repairs.
