On September 27th, during the 2025 World New Energy Vehicle Congress, Wan Gang, who serves as both the President of the China Association for Science and Technology and the Chairman of the World New Energy Vehicle Congress, emphasized that to attain L3 (conditional autonomous driving) and L4 (highly autonomous driving) levels of autonomous driving, there is a need to depend on smart roads and cloud computing technology platforms. The specific strategy entails uploading the scenarios encountered during vehicle operation along with the corresponding handling methods to a cloud platform for large-scale model training. Subsequently, the enhanced capabilities are channeled back to the vehicle side, creating a closed loop from the vehicle to the cloud. This process ultimately boosts autonomous driving capabilities.
