On September 22, WeRide proclaimed its partnership with Grab, a prominent ride-hailing and food - delivery platform in Southeast Asia. Together, they are set to roll out Grab's inaugural autonomous mobility service directly targeting consumers, named Ai.R (Autonomously Intelligent Ride), in Singapore. This project, hand - picked by the Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA), aims to cater to the transportation needs of residents living along two specifically designated routes in the Punggol region. In the initial phase, 11 autonomous vehicles will be deployed.
