Tonight marks the grand debut and the commencement of pre-orders for the BYD Yangwang U9 Xtreme (U9X), a high-performance electric vehicle with a strictly limited global production run of just 30 units. This remarkable car sets its sights on becoming the world's top contender in terms of both maximum speed and lap times among electric vehicles, having already clocked an impressive provisional lap time of 6 minutes and 59.157 seconds at the renowned Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit.

The U9X is constructed on the world's pioneering mass-produced full-range 1200V high-voltage platform. It incorporates cutting-edge Easy Square and Yunlian-X technologies, and is fitted with a track-optimized blade battery. The car's powertrain is a marvel of engineering, comprising four specially crafted motors that collectively generate over 3000 horsepower, resulting in a power-to-weight ratio of up to 1217 horsepower per ton. Moreover, the vehicle boasts the Yunlian-X fully active body control system, an upgraded titanium alloy carbon-ceramic brake system, and China's inaugural set of custom-built tires designed to withstand speeds in excess of 500km/h, all of which contribute to its exceptional performance capabilities.
