On September 18th, XPENG Motors made an exciting announcement: its latest P7 model now offers rapid vehicle control capabilities tailored for Apple users. These features encompass the iPhone UWB key, which allows for seamless locking and unlocking, the ability to unlock the car even when the phone is out of power, Siri voice control from outside the vehicle, and Apple Watch control. By harnessing UWB (Ultra-Wideband) technology, the P7 achieves centimeter-level positioning accuracy, significantly boosting the precision of both unlocking and starting the vehicle. The model also maintains NFC (Near Field Communication) locking and unlocking methods, and it supports smooth unlocking accompanied by segmented welcome lighting effects. Moreover, users can carry out vehicle preparation and location tasks from outside the vehicle using Siri voice commands. The Apple Watch further enhances convenience by supporting voice control and gesture interactions, such as finger tapping and fist clenching, for remote vehicle location and trunk opening.
