As reported by the State Administration for Market Regulation, Xiaomi Auto Technology Co., Ltd. has submitted a recall plan to the State Administration for Market Regulation in compliance with the 'Regulations on the Recall Management of Defective Automobile Products' and its corresponding enforcement rules. The company has made the decision to promptly recall a batch of SU7 Standard Edition electric vehicles, manufactured between February 6, 2024, and August 30, 2025, with a total of 116,887 units affected. The reason for the recall stems from the potential inadequacy in recognizing, warning, or responding to extreme and special scenarios when the L2 highway navigation-assisted driving feature is activated in certain vehicles, which could lead to safety risks. To address this issue, Xiaomi Auto will offer complimentary software updates through OTA (Over-The-Air) technology for the recalled vehicles, thereby eliminating the identified hazards.
