In reaction to the recall of 116,887 SU7 standard edition electric vehicles by Xiaomi Auto Technology Co., Ltd., Xiaomi Auto clarified that the objective of this over-the-air (OTA) software update recall is to bolster the reliability of the assisted driving feature. This includes refining speed control algorithms and introducing dynamic speed adjustment capabilities, thereby ensuring a smoother experience with the highway pilot-assist system. The update does not necessitate any hardware replacements; however, it will still undergo the standard management and documentation procedures associated with recalls. This OTA software update recall specifically pertains to a subset of Xiaomi SU7 standard edition models produced before August 30, 2025, and does not encompass other model variants.
