With the rapid growth in the inventory of new energy vehicles, the market for second-hand electric vehicles is experiencing a period of rapid expansion. In the first six months of 2025, retail sales of new energy vehicles in China reached 5.468 million units, marking a year-on-year increase of 33.3%. The trading volume of second-hand new energy vehicles increased by nearly 40% year-on-year, with the monthly trading volume in June reaching 141,100 units, up by 64% year-on-year. Nowadays, the prices of many second-hand electric vehicles have fallen below those of comparable gasoline-powered vehicles, providing new car-buying opportunities for consumers who previously found electric vehicles prohibitively expensive and disrupting the pricing landscape in the new car market.
