On September 14, a report from Deutsche Presse-Agentur indicated that Andre Thierig, who is in charge of Tesla's German factory, disclosed that the plant is set to boost electric vehicle production, driven by promising sales figures. Thierig mentioned that the factory had revised its production plans upward for the third and fourth quarters. He also expressed confidence in positive trends across all supply markets, although he refrained from revealing specific production targets.

However, this optimistic perspective stands in stark contrast to recent sales data. In Germany, Tesla's new car registrations took a significant hit last month, plummeting by 39%, with a cumulative decline of 56% over the first eight months of the year. Similarly, in France, Belgium, Denmark, and Sweden, Tesla experienced a sharp downturn in sales in August. Nevertheless, the Norwegian market presented a silver lining, with registrations surging by 21% last month and achieving a cumulative growth of 26% since the beginning of the year.
