On September 13, the 2025 China International Automotive Industry Development Forum commenced in Tianjin. Key officials from the National Data Bureau highlighted that data, a novel production factor, is the linchpin for the intelligent evolution of automobiles. It also acts as a pivotal force in reshaping the automotive industry's ecosystem and elevating its value chain. Presently, intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs) churn out a vast volume of high-caliber data on a daily basis. This data finds extensive application in domains such as training intelligent driving models, crafting high-precision maps, and optimizing traffic scheduling. The officials further emphasized that China is ushering in a new epoch of industrial transformation, propelled by data. In this era, automobiles have metamorphosed from conventional mechanical contrivances into intelligent mobile terminals that seamlessly integrate data collection, processing, and utilization. The trajectory of industry development is transitioning from being solely technology-driven to a synergistic 'technology + data' dual-wheel drive. It is steadily progressing towards a novel stage of comprehensive, data-empowered development across the entire value chain.
