On September 11 (local time), Toyota Motor North America released a notification, declaring a voluntary safety recall for specific models of the Toyota Venza, Crown, Crown Signia, RAV4, GR Corolla, 4Runner, Camry, Grand Highlander, Tacoma, and Highlander, along with some Lexus LS, RX, and TX models. This recall impacts roughly 591,000 vehicles across the United States. The recall was triggered by the potential for a blank dashboard display when the vehicle is started. This issue diminishes the visibility of certain warning indicators, subsequently heightening the likelihood of collisions or injuries. Dealerships will carry out inspections of the displays. To mitigate potential risks, they will either update the instrument cluster programming or replace the displays with enhanced models. Toyota intends to start informing affected vehicle owners in mid - November and will carry out the repairs at no cost to the owners.
