In August 2025, China witnessed its power battery installation volume surge to 62.5 GWh, marking an 11.9% uptick from the previous month and a substantial 32.4% jump compared to the same period the previous year. Specifically, the installation volume of ternary batteries stood at 10.9 GWh, making up 17.5% of the total installation volume. This showed a marginal 0.1% dip month-on-month and a 10.0% decline year-on-year. In contrast, lithium iron phosphate batteries saw their installation volume reach 51.6 GWh, constituting 82.5% of the total. This reflected a notable 14.8% rise month-on-month and an impressive 47.3% increase year-on-year.
