During the midday break, all three of A-share's principal indices experienced a collective upswing. The Shanghai Composite Index eked out a modest gain of 0.35%, while the Shenzhen Component Index posted a more robust increase of 2.01%. The ChiNext Index truly stood out, surging ahead with an impressive 3.48% jump. Leading the charge in sectoral gains were power generation equipment, electrical power grids, and precious metals. Dajin Heavy Industry was a standout performer, rocketing over 6%. CATL also made waves, surging past the 3% mark, and Chifeng Gold wasn't far behind, climbing over 2%. On the flip side, the retail, telecommunications, and soft drinks sectors felt the pinch, with Maoye Business tumbling over 6%, China Telecom dipping over 2%, and Liziyuan retreating over 1%.
