On August 26th, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, in collaboration with the Beijing Municipal Communications Administration, unveiled the "Implementation Plan for the Innovative Development of '5G + Industrial Internet' in Beijing (2025-2027)". This plan underscores technological innovation and application, urging industry leaders to harness the strengths of 5G technology—including high reliability, low latency, lightweight architecture, wide connectivity, high speed, and integrated communication and sensing capabilities—to conduct application verification of technologies and products across key domains such as industrial manufacturing, the Internet of Vehicles, and healthcare. The objective is to facilitate the practical enhancement of industrial 5G network features.

The plan explicitly highlights the focus on supporting technologies such as industrial wireless (5G), industrial Ethernet (TSN), edge computing, information models, deterministic networks, industrial computing power, open automation, and industrial data interoperability, aiming for large-scale deployment across multiple pivotal industries. Furthermore, the plan outlines initiatives to propel pre-research and deployment of 6G technology within industrial scenarios, actively seeking avenues for its commercialization.
