The German automaker Opel has revised its electrification strategy, abandoning the previous plan to sell exclusively battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in Europe from 2028 onwards. Instead, the company will extend its supply of fuel vehicle models. Opel attributes this strategic shift to customer demand and vows to continue implementing a versatile "multi-energy" strategy. This involves offering various powertrain options for each model, including pure electric, plug-in hybrid, mild hybrid, and fuel engine versions. Opel emphasizes that this approach is not confined to 2028 but will be dynamically adjusted in response to evolving market demands.
