An analysis report from the consulting firm Ernst & Young (EY) highlights significant job losses in the German industrial sector amid the ongoing economic crisis. Over the past year, the automotive industry alone laid off 51,500 employees, constituting 7% of total layoffs and significantly outpacing reductions in other industrial sectors. As of June 30, the total number of industrial jobs in Germany had decreased by 2.1% compared to the previous year, amounting to a loss of approximately 114,000 positions.
