GAC Group has proudly launched its groundbreaking self-developed 'Star Source Range Extender' technology, introducing the pioneering model equipped with this innovation—the Hyper HL Range Extender Edition. This technology leverages an innovative design to elevate combustion efficiency and minimize friction losses, thereby achieving a substantial boost in engine thermal efficiency. The system incorporates a high-efficiency generator and employs cutting-edge technologies such as silicon carbide electronic control to maximize energy conversion efficiency. Notably, this technology is the first to feature a directly connected oil-cooled generator via the crankshaft, further enhancing system stability and durability.

Under CLTC testing conditions, the fuel consumption of Class A range-extender models, once the battery is depleted, stands at an impressive 3.3 liters per 100 kilometers. Meanwhile, the Hyper HL Range Extender Edition, despite its advanced features, maintains a commendable fuel consumption of 5.3 liters per 100 kilometers when the battery is exhausted, positioning it at the forefront of the industry.
