Over the past few years, Baidu has vigorously propelled the expansion of its autonomous driving venture, "Luobo Kuaipao," in Hong Kong. On August 15, amidst the formulation of a new policy address, Chief Executive Li Jiachao convened with Baidu's founder, Li Yanhong, and his accompanying team, as well as key officials including Secretary for Transport and Logistics Chan Mei-po, Head of the Chief Executive's Policy Unit Wong Yuen Shan, and Director of the Chief Executive's Office Ip Man Kuen. During this meeting, Li Jiachao attentively heard Baidu's perspectives and proposals on the deployment scenarios and industrial integration of artificial intelligence and autonomous driving technologies within Hong Kong. Since securing Hong Kong's inaugural pilot license for autonomous vehicles, Baidu's "Luobo Kuaipao" has undergone rigorous testing across various districts of the city, amassing over 20,000 kilometers of safe driving.
