Wei Jianjun, Chairman of Great Wall Motors, made the announcement that the company's Brazil plant had officially opened on the morning of August 16th, in the presence of Brazilian President Lula. Wei Jianjun emphasized that this plant marks a significant milestone for Great Wall Motors in Latin America, signifying a new chapter in its regional journey. The plant will introduce the pioneering Hi4 hybrid four-wheel drive technology to the region. As one of the pioneering Chinese automakers to venture into the international market, Great Wall Motors has achieved a global sales milestone of over 2 million vehicles. Wei Jianjun expressed his aspiration to foster collaborations with more Chinese automotive enterprises, collectively driving the global promotion of Chinese automobiles. Notably, Wei Jianjun had previously met with President Lula during the latter's visit to China, where he extended an invitation to the President to attend the opening ceremony.
