On August 12, Xu Haidong, the Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, offered insights into the progress of automakers' commitment to 60-day payment terms. He revealed that three companies have successfully implemented this payment schedule. Key players including central enterprises like FAW, Dongfeng, and Changan, state-owned enterprises such as GAC, SAIC, and BAIC, private enterprises Geely and Great Wall, and emerging companies Thalys, Li Auto, and Xpeng have all responded positively. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers has compiled relevant statistics confirming that these major automotive firms are taking concrete actions. In the process of adjusting payment terms, automakers must arrange funds and revise processes encompassing inspection, launch, and payment, as well as related supply and sales contracts. The majority of companies have opted to initially apply the 60-day payment policy to new orders, gradually addressing issues with existing orders.
