Apple has commenced trial production of the iPhone 17 series, partnering with Samsung and LG Display as its screen providers. Recently, Apple approached these two firms, urging them to reduce the prices of OLED panels for the iPhone 17 series in an effort to mitigate the financial burden imposed by former President Trump's tariffs. According to sources, LG Display has acquiesced to the price reduction, whereas Samsung is still engaged in ongoing negotiations with Apple. This strategic maneuver aims to decrease the overall cost of the smartphones, as OLED panels and camera modules collectively constitute over 10% of the iPhone's production expenses.
