According to data released by IDC, smartphone shipments in China declined to 69 million units in the second quarter of 2025, marking a 4% year-on-year drop and ending a streak of six consecutive quarters of growth. Notably, Huawei has regained the top spot with shipments totaling 12.5 million units and a market share of 18.1%, a feat achieved for the first time since US sanctions disrupted its smartphone business. Following Huawei, Vivo, OPPO, Xiaomi, and Apple occupied the second to fifth positions, respectively. Huawei's resurgence at the top underscores the potency of its brand influence and effective shipment management strategy.
