Apple, in partnership with the American Heart Association and Brigham and Women's Hospital at Harvard Medical School, has introduced the Wearable BioMarker (WBM) model. This model, which utilizes behavioral data to forecast health status, represents a groundbreaking advancement. By analyzing over 2.5 billion hours of wearable device data, WBM examines behavioral indicators like step count and activity levels to discern health trends. In comparison to conventional PPG models, WBM excels in numerous health prediction tasks and notably enhances accuracy when paired with PPG. This innovation paves the way for new frontiers in personalized health management.
