Recently, safety concerns surrounding battery cells have prompted brands like ROMOSS and Anker to recall specific models of their portable batteries. In China alone, the number of recalled units stands at 490,000 for ROMOSS and 713,000 for Anker. To further address these concerns, the Civil Aviation Administration has issued an urgent notice, effective from June 28, prohibiting the carriage of portable batteries without clear 3C marks or those that have been recalled on domestic flights. This measure has understandably sparked widespread alarm, casting a shadow over the portable battery industry amidst a safety crisis.
