In iOS 26, the alarm clock app presents users with a full-screen notification. Within this notification, a critical design flaw emerges: the snooze and stop buttons are identically sized and positioned side by side. This configuration contrasts sharply with the user-friendly design of iOS 18, where the snooze button is prominently centered and larger, while the stop alarm button is smaller and strategically placed at the bottom of the screen. The iOS 18 layout minimizes accidental presses on the stop button, ensuring users can easily distinguish between the two functions. Pressing the snooze button in iOS 18 triggers a repeat alarm after a few minutes, whereas pressing the stop button silences the alarm immediately and permanently.
