Apple's much-anticipated iPhone Fold is expected to commence mass production in the summer of 2026, following pre-production stages scheduled to begin by the close of 2025. The iPhone, renowned for its extensive design and manufacturing process, will adhere to this lengthy cycle for its foldable variant as well. Industry analysts predict that the entire production process may span nearly a year. Reports indicate that Foxconn will embark on this groundbreaking project towards the end of the third quarter or the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2025, aiming to produce Apple's inaugural foldable smartphone.
However, it's important to note that the final design of the iPhone Fold has yet to be solidified. Specifications for numerous components, particularly the crucial hinge mechanism, are still in active development. Despite this, Samsung Display has been confirmed as the supplier of the foldable display panel, with an estimated production volume of 7 to 8 million units.
