On June 18, International Data Corporation (IDC) unveiled a report revealing that global shipments of smart glasses soared to 1.487 million units in the first quarter of 2025, reflecting an impressive 82.3% year-over-year growth. Notably, shipments of audio and audio recording glasses surged to 831,000 units, marking a remarkable 219.5% increase. Additionally, shipments of AR/VR smart glasses reached 656,000 units, representing an 18.1% year-over-year rise.
