Hangzhou's Xiaoshan District has sealed a strategic cooperation agreement with Volocopter and Hangzhou Low Altitude Industry Company, both entities belonging to the Geely Technology Group. As part of this collaboration, Volocopter's East China Regional Headquarters will be established in Xiaoshan. The project encompasses a comprehensive suite of facilities, including a research and development center, sales hub, and supply chain center, with a primary focus on advancing the intelligence of low-altitude aircraft. Notably, Volocopter's in-house developed pure electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, the AE200, has successfully concluded pivotal technology research and has advanced to the fourth phase of airworthiness certification, paving the way for its anticipated commercial launch in 2026.
