According to the latest figures from TrendForce, global smartphone production amounted to 289 million units in the first quarter of 2025, marking a year-on-year decline of approximately 3%. Despite this, production levels across different brands remained relatively stable. Notably, the Chinese market experienced a modest sales uptick, attributed to policy incentives. Among the leading players, Samsung's smartphone production soared to nearly 64 million units, representing a quarterly increase of about 21%, thereby reclaiming the top spot globally. Conversely, Apple's production slipped to 48 million units, placing it in second place. Xiaomi (inclusive of Redmi and Poco brands) produced approximately 42 million units, solidifying its hold on the third position.
