On June 6, Meituan Drones officially inaugurated its pioneering regular delivery route within Hong Kong's Low-Altitude Economic Regulatory Sandbox. This route spans across the sea and parks, lifting off from Hong Kong Science Park and touching down at Ma On Shan Promenade. The service has already integrated with renowned merchants such as McDonald's and Pizza Hut in Hong Kong. The drones traverse a distance of 1.8 kilometers, requiring just 5 minutes to cross the sea, thereby aiming to significantly enhance logistics efficiency.
