During the first quarter of 2025, smartphone shipments in Latin America experienced a 4% year-over-year decline, amounting to 33.7 million units. Samsung retained its leading position with 11.9 million units shipped, marking a 7% increase from the previous year. Xiaomi followed closely in second place, shipping 5.9 million units, up 10% year on year. Motorola, however, saw a 13% year-over-year drop, shipping 5.2 million units and slipping to third place. Honor moved up to fourth place, shipping 2.6 million units, a 2% increase from the previous year. Transsion, shipping 2.1 million units, experienced a steep 38% year-over-year decline, marking its first drop and placing it in fifth position.
