Apple intends to launch smart glasses by the end of 2026, aiming to further penetrate the market for AI-powered devices. These glasses will square off against Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses in the competitive landscape. To meet this ambitious timeline, Apple engineers are expediting the development process and have put on hold plans for a smartwatch equipped with an integrated camera. According to reports, the smart glasses will be outfitted with multiple cameras and microphone arrays, enabling features such as photography, real-time translation, navigation, and interaction via Siri. Apple anticipates concluding mass production of prototypes in collaboration with overseas suppliers by the end of this year.
