According to The Information, Apple intends to tweak its iPhone release schedule for 2026 in order to more effectively manage its expanding product portfolio. Reports suggest that the tech giant's highly anticipated first foldable iPhone will make its debut in the fall of 2026, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series and the new "Air" series. Conversely, the standard iPhone 18 will be postponed until spring 2027, aligning with the launch of the successor to the iPhone 16e. With Apple's iPhone lineup now encompassing six models, the introduction of the foldable variant has necessitated a reevaluation of the product release timeline, aiming to enhance product management and marketing effectiveness. Furthermore, the report discloses that Apple's inaugural foldable iPhone will adopt a book-style folding mechanism, deviating from the flip design. When folded, the device will sport a 5.7-inch screen, expanding to nearly 8 inches when unfolded.
