In January 2025, the national mobile phone subsidy policy propelled Xiaomi to unprecedented heights, with brand attention soaring to an impressive 60.9%. This figure dramatically outstripped competitors such as Huawei (45.2%), Apple (37.1%), Honor (30.1%), and vivo (20.3%). Xiaomi's senior executives, Lei Jun and Wang Teng, shared this triumphant data across social media platforms. Wang Teng highlighted that Xiaomi's commitment to offering high cost-performance and maintaining a consistent pricing model across both online and offline channels has enabled consumers to fully capitalize on the state subsidies. President Lu Weibing further revealed that subsequent to the subsidy policy's implementation, Xiaomi's daily mobile phone sales skyrocketed to four times their pre-policy levels, while store footfall witnessed a substantial 55% increase. Xiaomi affirmed its commitment to continuing to support the national subsidy policy and extending the benefits of technological advancements to an even broader consumer base.
