During the fourth quarter of 2024, shipments of personal computers (PCs) and tablets in the Indian market surged to 4.6 million units, representing a year-on-year growth of 6.4%. Specifically, notebook shipments witnessed an 11% increase, tablets grew by 4.3%, whereas desktop shipments declined by 3.6%. For the entire year, market shipments surpassed the 20 million-unit mark, signifying a robust 13% increase. Tablets experienced a remarkable 41% surge, while notebooks and desktops recorded growths of 5% and 1%, respectively. Notably, there was a significant uptick in purchases from the enterprise, government, and education sectors, with the consumer market growing modestly by 1%.
