According to Canalys, the PC market in Mainland China witnessed a resurgence in the fourth quarter of 2024, fueled by an 8% surge in consumer demand, which contributed to a 2% year-on-year growth. Notably, notebook shipments experienced a 6% uptick, totaling 8.6 million units, whereas desktop shipments declined by 9%, reaching 2.9 million units. Tablet shipments, on the other hand, remained relatively stable, dipping by 1% to 8.3 million units. For the entire year, PC shipments declined by 4% to 39.7 million units, whereas the tablet market saw a notable 11% growth, reaching 31.5 million units. Looking ahead, Canalys projects a 3% growth in the PC market in Mainland China in 2025, with shipments anticipated to reach 41 million units. Additionally, the tablet market is forecasted to grow by 1%, with shipments expected to hit 31.9 million units.
