A report by market research firm Counterpoint reveals that mobile phone manufacturers and distributors have strategically reduced prices on select models to capitalize on the subsidy-driven replacement trend, transforming the period around the Chinese New Year into an especially alluring sales season. Statistics indicate that smartphone sales in China soared to nearly 29 million units in January, marking a 17.6% year-on-year increase. Huawei, vivo, and Xiaomi emerged as the top three performers, collectively accounting for nearly 53.8% of the market share.
