Samsung Electronics' foundry division has embarked on the production of the Exynos 2500 processor chip, leveraging the advanced SF3 process. However, initial yield rates for this cutting-edge chip stand at less than 50%. Currently, the production scale stands at 5,000 wafers per month, with a future intention to scale down to 3,000-3,500 wafers. The Exynos 2500 is an impressive piece of hardware, featuring a 10-core CPU, the AMD RDNA-based Xclipse 950 GPU, and a potent NPU. This powerful processor is anticipated to power Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Flip series of compact foldable smartphones, set for release in the latter half of the year.
