During the earnings call, Apple CEO John Ternus addressed screen quality control issues with the iPhone Duo, stating that the proportion of this model returned due to display faults is extremely small and that Apple is replacing devices for affected users. Previously, multiple users on social media reported that Apple's first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, had developed cracks in its inner screen. Some users said that during normal opening and closing, the inner screen shattered on its own along the hinge, despite cumulative use of less than two hours. Apple China said it has noticed inner screen issues in a very small number of this model and that users can contact AppleCare to arrange a replacement. Ternus also said the product remains in overall short supply relative to demand, production ramp-up is progressing smoothly, and it is currently impossible to predict when supply and demand will return to balance.
