Nov 2 (Reuters) – John Ternus will host his first earnings call as Apple CEO on Monday, having taken over from Cook in September. During his tenure, Apple launched its first foldable phone, smart home hub device and first batch of touchscreen laptops, all of which began shipping in the current fiscal year's first quarter. Cook previously said memory chip costs are experiencing a "once-in-a-century" surge. Apple will face three key questions: holiday-quarter guidance, Ternus's remarks on artificial intelligence and an upgraded Siri, and rising memory chip costs. Analysts expect rising memory chip costs to drag Apple's quarterly profit growth down to the slowest in six quarters; revenue for July to September (fiscal fourth quarter) is expected to grow nearly 11% to $113.39 billion; net profit is expected to grow about 6% to $29.04 billion; services revenue is expected to grow nearly 10% to $31.56 billion, the slowest pace in more than three years; iPhone sales are expected to grow about 15% to $56.54 billion, below the roughly 22% increase in the previous three months.
