The Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau recently issued the "Policy Guide for Promoting Smart Glasses Consumption," rolling out seven measures aimed at boosting smart glasses purchases and unlocking the consumer potential of next-generation smart devices. These measures span purchase subsidies, first-store debuts, brand co-branding, internationalized consumer scenarios, departure tax refunds, digital transformation, and international market expansion. Under the "Implementation Rules for Beijing's 2026 Trade-in Program for Home Appliances and Purchase Subsidies for Digital and Smart Products," eligible smart glasses purchases will qualify for a subsidy of 15% of the final sale price after all applicable discounts are applied, capped at 500 yuan per item.
