On October 27, IDC unveiled its report on China's smartphone market for the third quarter of 2026. The findings revealed that shipments during this period amounted to roughly 58.06 million units, marking a 15.2% year-on-year decrease. This decline was notably more pronounced compared to the 4% drop observed in the first half of the year. The escalating costs of storage and components have spurred price increases and configuration modifications for end-user devices, subsequently curbing consumer demand.
