On October 26, 2026, Apple unveiled its latest iPad mini 8, starting at ¥5,499. This new model features an 8.5-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2316 x 1512 and maintains a 60Hz refresh rate. For the higher-capacity 256GB and 512GB variants, Apple offers an optional nano-texture display glass upgrade.

Under the hood, the iPad mini 8 is powered by the A20 Pro chip and is designed with a sleek profile, measuring just 5.4 millimeters in thickness. It also boasts an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. Notably, this model introduces Apple’s innovative “Acoustic Display” technology, which does away with traditional speaker grilles by integrating sound emission directly into the display.

The iPad mini 8 will be available in two elegant finishes: Midnight and Starlight. Customers can choose from three storage options: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Pre-orders for the new iPad mini 8 will commence at 1:10 AM on October 29, with official sales set to begin on November 6.
