Apple’s inaugural foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, is set to open for pre-orders at 8 PM on October 16, with an official launch slated for October 23. The Chinese version of the device will start at a price of 15,999 yuan. On the eve of the pre-sale period, Apple’s Chief Operating Officer Sabih Khan made a personal visit to the Foxconn Science and Technology Park in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, on October 11. During his visit, he inspected crucial elements such as the iPhone Duo production line. Khan emphasized that the team is ramping up production while adhering to stringent quality standards. The iPhone Duo is being exclusively assembled at Foxconn’s China factory, which is currently intensifying its efforts to build up inventory in anticipation of the launch.
