The most recent data released by market research company IDC reveals that worldwide PC shipments in the third quarter of 2026 witnessed a year-on-year decrease of 20.1%, plummeting to 62.7 million units. Despite Apple's Mac computer shipments experiencing an 11.3% year-on-year drop, reaching 5.9 million units, its performance outshone that of the broader market. Apple's market share expanded from 8.5% to 9.5%, securing the fourth position. Lenovo, HP, and Dell claimed the top three ranks, with HP suffering the most significant decline and ASUS the least.
