According to a study released by Apple, the transaction volume—encompassing both turnover and sales—facilitated by the App Store ecosystem in mainland China is projected to soar to RMB 4 trillion by 2025. This represents a staggering increase, more than doubling the figure of nearly RMB 2 trillion recorded in 2020. Concurrently, the share of overseas revenue for Chinese developers is expected to climb from 32% to 52%, underscoring the growing global footprint of China's app industry.
Game studios such as Kuro Games have capitalized on the App Store's worldwide reach to introduce blockbuster titles to international audiences. Over the period from 2020 to 2025, the cumulative revenue of small-scale Chinese developers has witnessed a remarkable surge, more than doubling in value. Notably, 75% of these developers have successfully ventured into overseas markets. Apple has reiterated its commitment to bolstering the Chinese development community by providing cutting-edge development tools, leveraging the resources of the Shanghai Developer Center, and implementing educational initiatives to foster growth and innovation.
