Apple is gearing up for the official debut of its inaugural foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, scheduled for release on October 23. The 256GB version tailored for the Chinese market will start at a price point of 15,999 yuan. Presently, Apple has activated the submission portal, inviting developers to submit their apps optimized for the new device. These submissions can be made through the App Store Connect platform. Developers are required to recompile and repackage their apps using Xcode 27.1, ensuring seamless integration with the iPhone Duo. Moreover, the app product pages will feature a distinctive compatibility badge, signaling to users that the app is tailored for the new device. Apple has also made it clear that, commencing April 2027, all apps listed on the App Store will be mandated to include screenshots specifically designed for the iPhone Duo model, ensuring a consistent user experience across all devices.
