In July this year, Apple explained in a letter to Jamie Raskin, a Democratic congressman from Maryland, the reasons for removing ICEBlock and similar apps from the App Store last year. These apps allowed users to share the real-time locations of officers from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
